Ginkgo leaves: Coloring cards box set

• Frame and hang them as they are, for a lovely, clean, minimalistic wall design
• Color them to your heart’s desire, frame and hang
• Gift the whole set
• Use each mini-art card as greeting card for special occasions

I drew these leaves using dip pen (a tiny maru nib!) and ink, and edited digitally. I used minimal editing, to preserve the hand-drawn quality, with all its imperfections.

The cards

In the box you have 6 cards + a certificate printed on the same paper as your cards, so you can test your colors on it. Each card features a different design. The back of the cards is blank.

What’s great about these cards, is that thanks to the combination of paper & ink, they are a delight to color! I intentionally created the lines in gray shades (and not back), so that they will fade back and not be too prominent once your cards are colored.
For the printing I only choose art paper that I personally enjoy working on, that is meant for drawing and painting – thick, archival, high-quality paper (yum!).
I do the printing using my professional pigment ink printer, which means the ink is water-proof, so using water-based paints will be a joy – you can use your favorite medium – watercolors, acrylics, gouache, aquarelle pencils, colored pencils, water-based markers etc. Please note they are not suitable for alcohol-based media!

The box

I’m in love with this cardboard I use to make the box! It’s plain, yet sturdy, I really like its color and texture – it feels great to the touch. It is printed with a design matching the cards. The design of the box itself is original – I planned & created it for my portfolio, and thought it would be the perfect packaging for art cards as well! I cut and assemble each one by hand.
The front cover features a decorative frame for any title you wish to write in it.
There are also spaces for your text in the back of the front cover and on the back of the box.

By the way, I colored my box as well – my colored pencils look amazing on it!

If you have a specific medium you like using, let me know – I may just be able to match a suitable paper to your medium!! (I.E. if you use colored pencils – I could use a smooth paper, if you like watercolors – I’ll print on thick cold-pressed paper, etc.). I can’t promise – but I will do what I can :-)
